Prior to joining Buchanan & Buchanan, Ms. Shevlin concentrated on family law, with a special emphasis on a cooperative divorce process that minimized the negative financial and emotional impacts on divorcing couples and their children. Her successful family law practice was aided by her experience representing children in Florida’s dependency system, where she attained countless favorable outcomes for children experiencing abuse, abandonment, and neglect.

Ms. Shevlin is a South Florida native who earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, where she excelled in the Litigation Skills Program.  She piloted a tri-lingual overhaul of the Community Health Rights and Education Clinic to expand pro-bono legal services to survivors of domestic violence and studied international law and policy at the Université de Paris in Paris, France.
